Is the task actually stupid, or is it something you should do, youre just afraid to do it, so youre demeaning it in case you fail? I think especially if it's a task that's really creating a lot of stress and really frustration or anxiety or anticipated anxiety, sometimes that's not how we feel right now, but we're anticipating that as soon as we start working on those tasks, we're going to get frustrated and that's enough to keep us from going with it. We ask people about how often they procrastinate or if they're putting things off to tomorrow. Well, thats really helpful. In this way, youre setting yourself up for positive reinforcement, instead of the negative thoughts that usually accompany procrastination.
